Will this tv tuner work on saorview?

thinking of buying one of these to install on my home media server

Says its DVB-T spec. Is that all it needs to be compatible with saorview or any more gotchas i should look out for?

I'm hoping to hook it up to a Linux server I have running and use it as a backend for mythtv or tvheadend.

Not sure if this should be in the the HTPC forum or here so mods please move if posting this in the wrong place..

Its fine once it has H264 in its spec. i.e. for H264 AVC L4 HD Video. Takes a lot of processor power to adequately run h264 video, most of the new chips will be fine.

I would be more worried about whether the drivers are available for Linux.

It only mention Windows® 7/Vista™/XP (32/64-Bit).

Heres a list of the dvb-t sticks that work with linux. You should check that they support MPEG4 H264 AVC before buying and work with Myth.

i *think* it should work on linux. have a sheeva plug server running debian squeeze and latest kernel.

think the one i listed is on that list a835, might need some patching tho...
