Beer. I mean, it's grand, I wouldnt say no to one. Some are lovely, some are rotten, but mostly it's just fine. Give me a whiskey, cider, Buckfast or wine any day, but if you dont have any of that beer will do lovely.

    Birds out the back garden.

When you're a kid, you'd jump out of your skin "MA, ma look at the birds out the back!!!"

Now, it's more like "meh, seen better"

Lost Girl and Alphas. They're two programmes that are on Syfy. Neither of them would have me on the edge of my seat with excitement but they're alright when nothing better is on.

Most nineties 'Britpop' bands. Bands like The Bluetones or Dodgy wouldn't have me in a rush to switch the station if they were on one of the music channels but they wouldn't get me particularly excited either. Also a lot of American nineties 'alternative' bands like Counting Crows. They're kind of like the vanilla yoghurt of the music world. Not a bad taste but not a good taste either.

I agree with the people that said The Wire too. It's a mediocre cop show that's about as exciting as an episode of Without A Trace or Midsomer Murders but with the added bonus of everyone having an accent that's almost impossible to understand. I started watching it when it was first broadcast on Sky Atlantic a few months ago. I still have it set to record but I could just as easily delete the three or four episodes I haven't watched yet and not worry about what happens next. Actually I might do that later. Or I might watch them. Either of those options would be alright.
