Music Solution Recommendation

    I hope this is the right forum for this!

    I'm re-doing my room and through out my huge 20 year old music system which was crap anyway long with my little stereo which has only half been able to pick up a radio signal for the last while.

    I would like to be able to replace it with a fairly compact system with:

    • Ipod docking
    • A CD Player
    • A decent Radio
    Decent speakers are a must either with it or to be bought seperately. Also, I would like something that I could eventually hook up a record player to.


    All on a limited budget!


    Can anyone recommend me some good option?

    I was thinking maybe €200 which probably isn't a lot but I could leave buying better speakers till later, which seems like the most important part to me.

    At this price point, I'd say your looking more at at an 'all in' system.
    But, if you wanted to start, get an amp first, Cambridge Audio's entry level amp is about €120 and is certainly good value. With something like this you can plug your iPod directly from the headphone socket, and can do the same for a portable radio.
