Best way to seal valve extenders?

Any ideas on what's the best way to make the connection between tube valve and extender air tight? I've resorted to using thread lock in the past which is good but a pain in the ar$e when the time comes to unscrew them again. What about plumber's tape, grease or a silicon-based sealant?

use ptfe that will do it

Thanks - I was worried the threads might be too small for the tape to be effective but I'll give it try!
