We've a new leader in the club league.

I'm missing a few names as I couldn't read some of the sign-on sheets.

If there is anyone reading this who has taken part in the Swordscc league....PM me if you don't see your name, or if I've mis-spelled it on the results sheet.

    cheers
    07Lapierre

Nice to see a Blanch Wheelie currently in third. First year racing too (if I'm not mistaken, but open to correction).

your right it is his first year racing. He is our star rider now. There is a few more lads that would be good in the league if they would turn up

I think this new development may draw shaungil out of retirement - A licence to shout at people to work harder and take their turns ...:)

Just to let everyone know and to ensure there is no ambiguity going forward. Swords League Races are run as CP's unless advised prior to the race. CP's or "Competition Pace" races require all persons in the group to contribute and work as a team to catch the limit group, without being caught by the scratch group)
There will be group referees in all groups from this week on and there will be yellow cards issued for the following: Unsporting behavior/riding, Dangerous Riding and Crossing the white line. ( " wheel suckers " comes under the heading of Unsporting Behavior, if you are not prepared to work with your group the Swords League does not want you !).
We want to promote good hard and safe racing and everyone will be told in blunt terms prior to the race.
So my plan for tonight to stay with my group will have to be shelved. Oh cruel world. Group 2 so :).

I reckon we'll see a few more next year anyway, or at least later this year.

I am going to make an appearance tonight to double our numbers. Hill climb was my last race so I reckon group 2 for a while til I get dropped

.... actually, at this rate scratch could be a lot larger than usual - hope my lead-out team of Staro, Raam, shaungil, glennamaddy, halpo and RobFowl turn up to give me the protection I need (and a pull/push up the hill)

I think tonight's reporting will be interesting:-)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,246 ✭✭✭Hungrycol

G4 for me tonight and managed to hold on. Manwithaplan is very strong rider and did a lot of pulls at the front. The finish on that course always gets me. If you can leave some energy for the finish you're doing well. G4 felt fast tonight and the organisation was good, you were never to long at the front. I'm so very tired now.

Think G2 stayed away for the win.

They did indeed, just about. Worked my ass off tonight so we could stay away (Group 2), was surprised we did as I thought we didn't work too well together. I gave it everything and very happy with 5th place. :)
