    Hi.

I had something stolen from me in April. A very similar item has appeared on Done Deal that seems to have been online for 68 days (March).

I have never used Done Deal. Is it possible for someone to edit an old advert of theirs (for example a television for sale since March) and totally change the item to (for example) a bicycle to make it look like the bicycle has been for sale since March?

    zak.

Looking at the help looks like you can edit your add, not sure how much of the add you can edit. You should ask for more pictures of specific parts that could help you identify your item. Can you arrange to meet and see the item but do it in a public place to be save.

Contact the garda, not sure if they will do anything now but they could advice.

Yes you can change the whole advert, from the title down to the pictures, so it could look as if the advert has been present for X amount of days. If you think the item may possibly be yours not harm in contacting the seller pretending your interested to get more details ect, if your then sure its yours go to the gardai.

    Thanks 5500. I'll do that.
