When nearly every top level employee at Liverpool has been sacked/regisned in the last number of months over the last few weeks than I do expect the owners to release a statement if they plan on backing their manager or not after they've held their end of season review. I'll be shocked if a statement isn't released at some stage along the lines of "we look forward to kenny working hard during the summer in signing players who will help in his quest to challenge for 4th blah blah".

The fear if they do something like that is the media start running crap like "Vote of confidence" and all that rubbish, which really helps no one.

The "Vote of condience£ stuff never occurs at the end of the season though. I mean once the review is done, FSG say this, and then publicly back Kenny for the summer it's obvious they won't sack him. Our league or footballing situation won't change so neither will FSG stance. I mean if FSG did sack him 1 month later it would be the biggest PR/lol disaster ever.

Jesus, with all the posts since last night I thought something had happened. Fúcking rumours! I hate them!!! But love them at the same time, facts can be so misleading, where rumors, true or false, are often revealing

How easy is it to start a Twitter rumour?

Could we start one ourselves, like Kenny replaced by Steve Clarke based on the baseball picture?

There is no truth or insight to be found in the dreary process that is modern football media. Speculation, misquotes and out of context bull**** is what you get when the bloody obvious is not being stated. Our image will never be improved by that machine, nor would it be worsened by a refusal to engage with it.

I mean, do people actually read or watch the rubbish that is put out? Bollocks the lot of it. I mean how many outlets ran "Suarez to PSG" bile a few months back? How many "Martinez to Liverpool" headlines ran on Sunday? "Club insiders" the source obviously. If any of you pay attention to this menagerie of idiocy or put stock in it then you are naive at best. They just put thIngs out there that they know you'll lap up. After all, what English beat writers will have inside info or a working relationship with FSG? They know **** all, they just get paid to put out their half formed theories and trolling.

It doesn't matter. You win games you get a positive spin. You lose games the landscape is negative. Just win more games and the rest won't matter.

Journalists will write about us wheter we like it or not, if we stopped engaging with them they'd write even more bollox about us. Saying the club shouldn't engage with the media and only through the website is ridiculous. Have you read the clubs website? It's a propaganda machine.

Who asks the tough questions when results aren't going our way? Or do you think Kenny doesn't have to answer to anybody? When we lose games like we have during the year i want to see what the manager has to say about it not some bulls1t/all is rosy in the garden article on the official site.

I remember it was done last summer(I think) where Liverpool fans started a rumour about a Brazilian player flying in to sign

There are dozens of staff that are 'high up'. The club has been doing a good overhaul of all facets of the business. It was badly needed. Apart from Comolli there hasnt really been anyone moved on that would be associated with the team itself. Bruckner's remit was complete to all intents and purposes. I wouldnt consider the moving on of the head of customer experience and the head of international soccer schools for example as newsworthy. Former FA Chief Exec Brian Barwick came in February to give the owners a review, he is a passionate LFC fan also and has the pedigree behind him for the role he was given, it was no surprise to me there were some casualties.

On the 9th of May (a whole 6 days ago) Fenway Sports Management re-tweeted this.

@FenwaySportsMgt @John_W_Henry Dalglish has given us amazing performances, next season it will be same performances with results #stability

Quite frankly, and in my honest opinion, the only man still lucky to have his current title is Ian Ayre, he has been an absolute fking shambles as MD. Should have stayed where he was, perhaps a conflict of interest was the reason for his shambolic handling.

Yes or no answer, do you honestly think the job KD has done this season was in any way acceptable and represented progress?

The second paragraph describes what the media should do rather than what they actually do. The fan base watch the games and ask the questions themselves. What tangible insight or value is being added by the media? I really need examples tbh.

Today sums up the media landscape for me. "Showdown" talks me hole.

Breaking News-Boston Red Socks have acquired Liverpool defensive coach Steve Clarke as their new fielding coach for the remainder of the baseball campaign.

FSG were said to have been impressed by Clarke in the role he had as head of defensive special teams at Liverpool Soccer Club.

How often do you see clubs release statements at the end of the season saying the manager is being kept on?

when there is as much speculation over the manager's future and the fact that KD failed with the target of the top 4 (spectacularly I might add), it would be the norm to release a statement clarifying his position at the end of the season.

When there has been a lot speculation over a managers future I expect it to happen.

I would hope FSG would have the decency to fire him in the tunnel first.

I'm looking for a little insight from the manager tbh not petulant, snide responses to simple questions like we've seen all season.
