Year's! How many exactly? Its not that long since playing in the champions league

True, but I was more referring to us constantly in need of a striker, left back, winger and to a lesser extent a center midfielder.

Last year's winner was John Flanagan so it does not take a lot of first team games to win it.

Carroll, Kelly, Henderson, Flanagan, and Spearing would have been the younger players who played in the first team that would have been in for it this year, but it can include young players who play in the ressies as well.

The word "luck" seems to be popping up time and time again. I do believe weve been unlucky this season but better luck can only get only get us so far.

Better tactics, team selections, subs and players is what we need next season worrying about luck should come after that.

Cheers Kess (and others), on my way there now!!

Am sickened there will be no Suso, was hoping to catch a glimpse of either himself or Sterling...guess I'll just have to make it to Anfield sometime when they are playing for the seniors.

Good, nothing worse than hanging around not knowing ones fate.

I can only assume this is going to end with Dalglish not being manager, I'm not sure which way to feel about it, there's no question that the league season was very poor taking account of everything. Equally I think we've played good football for the most part, and came within a whisker of a cup double.
I, like any Liverpool fan love Kenny but the standard of our league season makes me think that if the right person was available then there is a strong argument to be made for his departure. I know everyone has an opinion on it but I would still take Rafa back without a moments hesitation.

I would say that if we had a proper top class goal scorer this season he'd have bagged 25 league goals.

Yes we had bad luck but our finishing of chances was shocking.

Cant see them flying Kenny all the way to Boston to sack him sure they have more respect for the man then that, If they were to sack him I am sure Werner would fly into Liverpool to meet him just like he did for Comolli

I think that if they were getting rid of Kenny, they would already have a replacement lined up.

And I think that if they already had a replacement lined up, we would know about it by now.

If they get rid of him, and "start the search" for a replacement now, it could be a bad move.

Half the fanbase wanted him out at the time.

Shows you the intelligence of some of our fans.

Maybe they are flying him over for a massive coke and hookers party.

I personally expect Kenny to be in charge on the opening day of the season.

I'm in two minds about this.

League form, and signings, have been pretty poor - though I'm not as underwhelmed by Carroll, Henderson and Enrique as others seem to be.

Some mitigating factors, though: our first trophy in 7 years, and losing finalists in the FA Cup. That, and the fact that we did play lovely football - and for large parts without key players like Suarez, Lucas, Gerrard etc.

I don't want Liverpool to be a club that will throw a manager to the wolves on the back of one disappointing season - particularly when the season included a trophy, and when the manager is a club legend. On the other hand, I don't want Liverpool to be a club that's a slave to its history, and unwilling to make tough calls.

As with when we sacked Rafa, the key factor will be who Kenny's potential successor would be. If we are to get rid of him, we can't afford to replace him with a dud and then go through the whole process again 12 months down the line.

Have to organise a STAGS party for the end of August for a bunch of us so I just might have to do it in Liverpool :P

Get a game in and fúck the mancs in the group .

Anyone got a cheap hotel in mind that would take 15+ lads on a stags?

I think he's been poor so far, particularly in the signings he's made but should probably be given one more season. Top 4 or bust, regardless of how many cups he wins.

Thats the onboard entertainment on the private jet.

It'll be all business when Kenny arrives in Boston. I expect the meeting to end when John Henry pushes the button, the trapdoor opens and Dalglish slides into the shark tank.

Ok, so we get a new guy in and we finish next season in 7th or 8th.

    Sack him too?

    Stability is key.

Results and ability to improve them are key. Squad has given up on him.

Every team could do with a proper top class forward. There were plenty of games where we didnt create loads of chances and played quite poorly. I think we had more of a problem in midfield. We were badly exposed when Lucas got injured and the players bout for the wing positions had no guile or an eye for goal.

You for real. Two cup Finals and Qualifying for Europe, League finish was poor and It's not what Pool fans want. But embarased, come on.

We qualified for Europe because we won the Carling Cup, it's disingenuous to list them as two separate achievements.

For me I think we should stick with Kenny unless Rafa is available.

If we can get in Rafa I think it's an opportunity we shouldn't pass up. He won't be unemployed forever.

He is available and he has been holding out waiting for us to knock on his door with a decent offer, he won't much longer though.

Can't blame him if he is expected to take that much of a cut, though it in part is probably because of the very high wages we are paying him.

Gerrard will never play a niggle/strain/injury free season, why would he start now? The club has to start planning for life without him.

Are we getting value for money with Gerrard these days and will we over the next few years?

You'd be content with another season of mid-table medicrity? I said he should be given another season, if he doesn't manage a decent level of improvement in his 3rd season then I don't think he's good enough.

I'd say Dalglish will come back with a flea in his ear and 10-12 games to work with.
