I actually saw this trailer 6 months ago, but am only strong enough, after 6 months of therapy, to talk about it today!

I saw this trailer the other day and saw nothing new in it. Apart from it being haunted porn! LOL One jumpy bit in the car but noting "scary". Meh.

Amazingly these fundamental Christian groups have such a massive issue with porn. I look through those God channels on out of curiosity every so often and you always see guys who were "saved" admitting to being addicted to drugs and pornography (both as bad as each other like). It really is one of the strangest things.

Anyway, the film really does look like falling into the so bad it's good category

well pornography addiction is actually quite a serious thing, its not as innocent as doing the five knuckle shuffle on a regular basis.

back on topic, this film looks like it has serious potential for laughs

You really, really cannot underestimate the absurd lengths fundamentalists will go to to get their message across. This idea is all the more amusing because it clearly isn't a wind-up. While there actually could be an interesting film about the potentially destructive nature of pornography or addiction, this is clearly just right-wing nonsense.

Anyway, they've only got $585 dollars out of their $12,500 goal. When even their close family and neighbours seem unwilling to put any cash into it, I'm pretty sure the best they can hope for is a crappy DVD copy a bunch of fidgety kids are going to be forced to watch in Sunday school.

(potential meta-sequel: said DVD copy itself becomes haunted, and the film becomes a scathing satire of fundamentalism and moralistic simplicity. And it shall be called Harmful.)
