Its absolutely imperitive you ask her over for the ride. Social etiquette dictates you should text her the following:

"Mon over here, and I'll ride ya"

She'll laugh at you if you don't.

A nice dinner, perhaps followed by a music or comedy gig and a few drinks.

End the night by telling her you'll cut yourself if she ever leaves you.

Saturday night is kareoke night in The George. Always good for a laugh.
Failing that, try the comedy club in The Bank Bar on College Green.

Bring her to Dun Laoighre for a walk down the pier. At the very end push her in, comedy factor will be huge. When shes finally rescued give her your jacket, women love that chivalrous ****

Tell her that you're going to bring her to the Hospital later.

Because you're going to hospitalise the ride out of her.

    She'll love that one.

When did all this " Dating " lark begin in this country ?

A Generation raised on American Tv, I think.

Back in my day, you usually met in pub, college or some random house party, got on well and then just continued to hang out in the pub, college, randon house party. This advanced to each others houses, where you'd watch a video, yep a video and make cheese on toast. No one had to try so hard, we were all on the same page !

Sex just happened, no one had to overthink the how or when is it going to happen, or the how will I impress this person enough to make them want to sleep with me.

Actually on a more serious note.
I have a date on sunday with a chick im mad about. Any suggestions for stuff to do in Dublin from midday onwards? Will most definitely end with her in my sack but need ideas to occupy the time between meeting her and bedding her?

You've done enough, back to your bedroom to watch a movie.

The only movie she'll be watching is the one on the ceiling :P

Whatever about 'dating' one look in the relationship issues forum makes me scratch my head in wonderment. It's full of when should I call, when should I text. Should I play hard to get or I don't want to seem too keen.

All that bolloxology complicating something straightforward.

Not the cinema unless ye going out on a few dates. Coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, beach or something different or more activity like bowling or skating or something like that. Be spontaneous!?;) or just keep it simple...cook for them!?

Op didn't say where he lives approx.
Dependable on her interests and likes, places can vary.
For example one girl I dated, I took to the writers museum in Dublin as a day out.
While not exactly romantic, it was personal to her, she though it was a nice thought that I took her there as she was into that said of life and it was something new to her as a place to actually visit.
A novel idea - no pun intended.

I gained eventually, short term and long. I got to marry her.

If you're looking to get her in the sack without wanting to come across as sleazy then I suggest this:

Tell her you'd like to cook her dinner and then bring her out to a comedy gig afterwards. That way she's going to be in your house but she knows that it's only going to be for a couple of hours and there's a plan afterwards so she's not expected to stay. Cook her a nice meal (doesn't have to be fancy, something simple such as nachos could be successful because you're sharing and eating with your fingers so it'll make you both more comfortable). Then head out for the comedy gig. Lay on the charm a bit and go for a few kisses at the end of the night. Because she's already been in your house she'll feel comfortable at the idea of going back there and won't see any threat and might very well be open to the idea of going back for some sexytime.

This is actually an exact recap of a third date I went on with a guy. It was successful in so far as I did go home with him. However he was a bit of a douche so things ended soon after....
