I'm in the middle of a load of exams so I can't make it, but my hot tip is Girl Band on Saturday night!

You're not alone in your exam-induced abstention there, rcaz, although I've elected not to let my Horrors ticket go to waste so it'll be somewhat of a musical weekend.

We Are Scientists are excellent live, I got to play percussion with them at a gig in Toronto.

Ya missed them as well..All the good acts are on the same times so you gotta decide well. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
I reviewed a few bands for this eve and Melodic Deathship appeal alot in an unconventional way.
    Clashes with rubberbandits/Mystery Jets/Kwes etc

I had'nt noticed the thread in gigs/events 'faceplam icon'
Anyway caught some of girl band in the workmans ,,liked them..great sound.
I guess the highlight was Ghostpoet in a packed Whelans....rap and hiphop wouldnt be my thing but he was excellent and had the crowd in the palm of his hand.
All in all a well run event and good value for money with becks at e4.

Cashier No. 9 were brilliant when we finally got in to twisted pepper - although I thought they were called Cashew No. 9 :D

Best I saw was Ghostpoet, went home and bought his album on iTunes after that.

I was there for Ghostpoet as well, deffo the highlight of the Crawl for me - seems to have been the big buzz gig of the event.

Mystery Jets were savage last night as well - great day yesterday.

Only went Friday but i saw

Duke Special- Always an impressive live act and he was good again if not on his best form. Maybe the fact it was early meant the crowd weren't fully into it. Enjoyment slightly hampered by guys filming the crowd and getting in everyones way and sticking the camera in my face
    Highlight: Freewheel

Jape - To my eternal shame I don't know much Jape stuff and hadn't seen Mister Egan and co live before but they blew me away. Videos on the screen behind really complemented the set and Floating was just magnificent, crowd went bonkers for it

Brief interlude to get chips in Eddie Rocketts!

Le Galaxie- Didn't know much about them and only caught half their set. Wouldn't be a huge dance fan but they really got the crowd going and i found it fairly enjoyable

We Are Scientists - I love these guys, their banter with the crowd always entertains and adds to a gig. A few new songs in the set, on initial reaction they seem to be continuing the more mature 80's inspired sound instead of the immediateness of the first album. Highlights for me was Murray crowd surfing over me and The Great Escape and After Hours back to back. I apologise for squashing anyone in the front row for the madness that ensued!

All in all, a very enjoyable night. Hope they do it again next year!

Well no announcements yet of who is playing(that i know of ?) but with such a large number of gigs and bands bound to something for everyone.
Maybe we will kick off a new thread when there is news.

    Announcement here http://www.camdencrawldublin.com/
    and a free mixtape!!

no ceremony/// will definately be worth a look I would have thought and Nialler9 reckons "A legendary English band is also rumoured to be joining the bill. " ? hardly new order?
