As it is the law of the land over there? You can work on campus in your respective field. That is all.

A student visa is just that, a visa to study in the country. Not a way of circumventing Irish immigration law.

I would be more lenient than the Americans, I would allow students work in their respective fields of study.

Brazil doesnt, so I expect an apology from the Brazilian here on a "study english course" who admitted that he is only here to work.

I wouldnt hold my breathe, but.

People who complain about a lack of quality beers on offer in our pubs are just hipsters really.

Ah, man. Try a pint of Gambrinus, Pilsner, Staropramen, Hoegaarden, and the countless number of German, Belgian, and Austrian brews.

You would never touch a Bud again. *Unless its sunny, ice cold and in a bottle*

The gombeen politicians who ran our country's economy into the ground should be held accountable for their actions.

And no Irish person would dream of breaking that law, of course.

Unfortunately 30,000-50,000 have. Mostly people from Tyrone, Fermanagh and Galway according to an Irish immigration reform lobby group.

The yanks dont operate exit checks, but all flight lists are sent to HS. So if you overstay your visa, they will know. Ireland does neither.

Senator Scott Brown tried to push a bill that would "regularise" the illegal Irish. An e3 visa its called, I believe. I hope it fails.:)

Hot weather isn't that great, it's oppressive actually.

Give me sunny, fresh, 21-22 degrees Celsius weather any day.
For me that is hot! Anything above that and I start to melt :P

I went to France a few years ago in February. It was 19 degrees and I was lying on the beach in my bikini. The locals were looking at me like I was mad but I thought it was a lovely hot day :pac::pac:

Glee is absolutely terrible. I found out yesterday (from watching Pointless I think!) that the cast of Glee have the third most singles in the Top 20 in HISTORY! I know it's doing its best at tackling issues such as homophobia, disability etc but they've murdered half the songs they've done.

And of all the emotions to base a TV show around they choose glee? Anger. Now there's a show I'd watch

I'm not keen on foreign holidays.

They're stressful, they take way too much planning, you come back more wrecked than when you went, I hate being a tourist (makes me feel so stupid) and you don't really get to know the culture like you would if you live there.

Maybe because you stated that if foreign english students were not allowed work, they simply wouldnt come to Ireland. And then you called students "your peers".

That gave the impression your primary reason to come here was to work, not to study english. If I wanted to learn Portuguese, I wouldnt move to Brazil. But if Brazil allowed me to work there, whilst studying, and if wages were ten times higher in Brazil than in Ireland, then there would be an economical angle to consider too.

Not that is any of your business but IM A RESIDENT I HAVE A STAMP 4 VISA!!! MY HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER ARE EUROPEAN SAME AS YOU AND YOU WANNA DEPORT ME BECAUSE I WORK??? I HAVE THE SAME RIGHT AS YOU TO LIVE AND WORK IN IRELAND, IF YOU DONT LIKE IT, TOUGH!! LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT!!!:mad

So you are exercising your EU treaty rights. Good stuff. We signed up to them. Dont have a problem with that, so why would I want to deport you?

I think the new Batman films are terrible :(

I grew up with the camp Adam West TV show and Michael Keaton as Batman, what was so wrong with that that they felt they had to make all dark and serious

I felt the same few times, but I thing you should try to go to less popular places and stop using travel offices.

No way should be people be allowed buy their council house

The State can help you with housing and the rent is not very high and can be adjusted based on your income

But when you are in better circumstances then move on and let someone else get the house

And if your family is grown up and it's just a couple living in a three bed council house then you need to move on too.
A young family need that house, maybe a smaller flat can be found in the area for you
Actually I think the council do work on this but they have to actively manage their stock

Anyway, getting a council house is a help for your situation.
It's not there to let you buy it at a discounted rate
