Dodgy music! Stopped watching 3 seconds in :pac:

I mutted it quite quickly myself, just look at the goal at 40 seconds and tell me what you think!

Slaven Bilic is stepping down as Croatia manager after the Euros. Wasn't he linked to the Liverpool job before Hodgson got it?

    Stunning strike most certainly.

Mr Bilic loves to get his name mentioned for plenty of jobs.
I read somewhere before that his wages with Croatia are quite low.
He's bound to be quite keen to get to manage in England after playing for Everton and West Ham.
Good luck to him but not to Liverpool IMHO

I thought if Kenny won the FA cup he would survive but it feels like only a matter of time before the axe falls. I think part of the reason we have held off on a DOF is so they aren't seen as part of the oncoming cull of a manager who is so loved by the club.

If we do decide to change manager one of our last remaining wild cards as a club outside the CL competition is that we can still attract a top class manager. I would say our trump card is that we can very easily attract a certain manager from the very top shelf. Still whoever it's I feel it should be someone with a proper proven track record.

My Rafa theory still holds water ;)

and I'm going to go all 2+2=47 now ....

He has been tweeting for the past two weeks with transcripts from past players saying how much their career is down to Rafa.

Seems he is promoting himself to attract players to LFC on his return.

    Who needs a DOF :P

6/4 with William Hill that he won't be in charge come the first game of the season. Value?

If I were placing a bet, it would on him not being there in August.

    Very tempting price.

Would anyone want Rafa to return with anything but a very large spending budget? Unless FSG are willing to invest heavily on a regular basis, I can't see Rafa being successful.

As long as they gave him enough to buy back Alonso, I reckon we'd be alright

Much as I would mark out to see Xabi return, he is 31 this year and would most likely still cost big enough money. :(

There are a number of very good young players out there that would probably be available for similar money as to what Xabi would cost.

New manager means new players in and perhaps players that are settling out,and at least another year in transition.

That's the problem with changing a manager again so soon.

can be just as destructive to long term success by leaving the wrong man in place for too long.

No point backing the wrong man to build a squad only to see him ultimately fail, and an even bigger overhaul is needed in 3-4 years times.

    That is also true.

If Kenny stays I don't think they will give him tons of cash to spend.

Most cash will be offset with players leaving I'd imagine and perhaps a bit more.

So we're getting rid of the manager after his first season because he didn't win us the title?

Have we scrapped the new stadium plans and moved to Stamford Bridge?

I knew this would happen when Kenny took over.

Just because it was Kenny, everyone thought we would win everything straight off the bat.

People want Kenny sacked because he's holding you back. Actually he's dragging you down and people don't want to stand for it. Nothing got to do with not challenging for the title.

I can't say I blame the Pool fans that want rid of him.

    .

Thats probably the only way we'll see a new ground in the forseeable.

I reckon its finishing about 40 points off the title that's the issue! Oh and 130 million spent in 18 months.

You think the criticism stems from not winning the title?

Champions league football would have been brilliant.

Astute signings would have been welcome, signings that made impact and brought positivity for next season at least.

Signs of progress would have been adequate, having stablised things in the second half of last season.

None of these have been achieved nor have we seen any evidence of such progress.

Drawing paralells between Chelsea sacking managers for narrowly missing out on the title, and sacking Dalglish for leading us to just inside the top 10 (despite serious financial backing) is the populist thing to do. And its idiotic.

Though my internet was slow and was waiting for it to load properly but ot just turned out to be really pixilated. Seems to be the kit that has done the rounds the most but its missing the flames?

Edit: oh wait there it is..

Just on the jerseys and the eternal flames

It has been mentioned that some of the families were consulted about this but the HJC were not.

The club dont appear to have much interactions with HJC, is there any particular reason for this?

Because they deal directly with the HFSG.
