Dingle peninsula. How people think ring of kerry is nicer is beyond me.
west cork coast around clonakilty or around crookhaven on the mizen peninsula.
    Parts of Donegal.

Also like parts of Mayo, Waterford, Wicklow, Clare. List goes on. Most of the coastline is great.

Barley Lake near Glengariff. Awkward to get to but totally worth it.

Also Enniscrone in Sligo/Mayo. Fabulous beach.

    Inchydony Island near Clonakilty.

In fairness, pretty much everywhere rural in Ireland is beautiful :)

The burren, Leannane in Connemara and molls gap and the connor pass in kerry!! The more remote the better.

The Slieve Blooms up around Rosenallis. The name of the village sounds like a couple of old dykes.:):):)

i was there in 2006. i stayed in one of the massive mansions overlooking the harbour (don't mean to sound rich). it was my cousin's neighbours nephew (rich oil person) who gave it to my cousin's for a week

it was a glorious week i spent there. :D

On top of Slieve Foy on a nice day with a flask of tea and a parcel of ham sandwiches and looking down on the beautiful Carlingford Lough and across the water where "The Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the Sea". Heaven in the peace and quiet of nature's beauty.

Absolutely love Devil's Glen in Wicklow

Favourite urban area has got to be Kilkenny. The castle and the old buildings make it feel so medieval for me.

Haha I'm afraid my knowledge of all the pubs in Kilkenny stems from the fact that ever since my mom was pregnant with me, I've been dragged to the Annual chess tournament in the club house hotel/bar and butler house.. (un-nerdy, I know ;))

Last year I went they wouldn't serve me on the basis that the very idea of me drinking made the manager feel ancient. Sadly no pubs for me I guess :p

    Back to topic -

There's a particular road (can't remember the name) on Killiney hill (driving from Dalkey on the hill toward the beach) which provides the most spectacular view of the sea at night. Especially if the moon is out in full force, it makes the whole beach area light up and leaves a moonlight trail (can't remember the term in English) on the sea. Would really recommend people to check it out if they're ever stressed and wanted to go for a drive. And provided there's a full moon of course.

Love heading up north with the caravan every Summer.
Plenty of quiet spots to pull in for a few weeks.

Also love getting the horse and chariot out on the Mallow to Cork road.
Open roads and breathtaking views, spectacular!
