    Well, if 10+ people were arrested for road racing, and that looks like North Cork, you'd assume it would make the local news / Examiner etc.

    Although, I suppose given the ad revenue cut backs, very little that isn't on a press release makes the news anymore.

    If the guards did not pull back they would probably get in more trouble than the travellers. It was not safe to try stop them.
    I'm sure they got to them after the video stopped recording. I'm sure they are not big strangers to them.

    All they had to do was bring traffic to a stop in every lane then give good warning before flipping the cart.

    What happened in the end with the jarveys in Killarney? apart from the nappies the council wanted their horses to wear, Leo Varadkar wanted them to put big luminous triangle reflectors on their traps...

    It's their culture, breaking the rules of the road, disobeying the Garda, obstruction of the road...it goes back to ancient times I believe...In Tipp, this sort of behavior is expected on the roads. 'Main roads' are regularly blocked off (usually on a Sunday morning) for the racists:D. Where is the RSA and Gay Byrne when you need them, what do they think?

    Its not often you see trotters so well cared for the even had on tendon boots! Alot of money goes on them races. But going at that speed on the road will ruin the horses joints not to memtion if the breaked suddenly the guards were even worse trying to slow down the travellers in that way its not the horses fault they are going that speed or even pulling a sulkie if they were smart the shades would have called for back up driven on abit and barracade the road giving the animals time to break instead of letting the horses crash into them like that and they say the tinkers abuse horses what the shades did was far worse

    I'd have the pricks cleansed. Gas chambers would be too good for them. They add nothing and take what they can, parasites.

    Their could have been a fatal accident at several points there. The horses should have been killed to save human lives.

    I hate police brutality, but as a citizen, I'd wonder why a fella on a horse could make such a mug of the policeman, put people in danger, and get away with it.

    It pisses me off that a load of squad cars and vans didn't arrive to arrest every last one of them. Such a blatant two fingers to everyone else on the road. I know it's AH but that video has really pissed me off. :mad: there are visible reg plates and faces in that video for prosecutions.
