Sky over Trim has just gone really dark and it feels like the temperature s dropped quite a bit too. Thats an evil sky, and can still see clear blue Sky in the distance.

Yes, there's been no lightning from it for over 10 minutes now. Seems to have done what it's going to do, though the gust front has just arrived here and the rain has started.

Should see the radar go very quiet throughout the country now, apart from the showers in the west.

That was fooking scary, golf ball sized hail stones everywhere, thunder and lightening was unreal.

Had an amazing mammatus display here from a cell over Derry City a while ago, easily the best I've seen. Took a pic on the phone but as always it didn't come out, really need to get myself a camera

Messed about with it to try and make it clearer but it still doesn't do it justice at all

Yep, showers seem to moving in now, just when all source of heating is gone to help build 'em up.

Didn't get anything today in Dublin4. Unless I missed it, but don't think I did. Got hit by a heavy shower will packing some bags into the car in Crumlin.

Glad to see so many got a good show. Thanks for the pics and vids guys, some are amazing. Great to see that in your back yard :)

    Keep them coming

Amazing how these cells still have some life in them even at this late stage. Odd thing is they have all been following the same path to my north west all day, seems like a line from Roscrea->Mountmellick->Portarlington and onwards to Kildare.

Agree. I remember a few years ago before I knew about the weather community on here when I used to be wondering how showers I was watching in the distance where affecting other areas. Great to have real time reports coupled with the fantastic pics and vids posted up almost instantaneously.

Still jealous as hell though of all who got to see and hear something today. . Comforting myself by the hope the weather gods are storing up something big for here sometime soon. A total delusion I know.. :o
