I recently got a new system and I had some old picture files on old machine in photodeluxe format. Now I believe that photoshop will open these but I dont have photoshop and even a free trial will take me an age to download with my BB speed.
Anyone know of any online sites that can convert or any other useful way of converting these files for me. Google tells me there are loads of options to do this but when it comes down to it, pdd is not supported even though alot of these free programs list it as being one of the supported formats.
    Any ideas?

Well I can't say for certain it will open them but Infraview is probably your best shot. Failing that GIMP might do it since it does open other Photoshop files.

PhotoDeluxe was replaced in 2002 by Photoshop Elements

Try "Image Converter Plus" (trial) (only 10mb):

    http://www.imageconverterplus.com/

it supports over 800 image formats, including .pdd

Imageconverterplus works but the free version has a huge watermark on it that makes the document useless.
    The other suggestions don't work.

Make sure to download the IrfanView plugins and see if it helps
