Cheap Passport Photo's

I was looking to get some passport photo's and found a very economic way of doing it.

On snapfish.ie, you can get 8 passport photo's for €1.99 plus €2.95 for delivery. You also get 20 free 6x4" prints with your first order. If you go through fatcheese.ie, you will get an additional €3.50 cash back, also on your first order.

So for a net cost of €1.44, you get 8 passport photos and 20 prints. Just received my passport photo's in the post and they are great quality.

Not a bad deal, I usually just use http://www.epassportphoto.com/ though and print them out myself, the software puts 4 per sheet... So you can print on a public machine if u save to an sd card or whatever if you don't have a printer. I'm a little sceptical of fatcheese of late! I've had payments due in feb and march and they are still pending...

+1 about fatcheese. After 3 unanswered tickets, at monthly intervals, I wrote to them by snailmail about 3 months ago - and still nothing. I've nearly €100 of cashback due to me and I can't get at any of it.

But I digress. Snapshot are great, if only they didn't bombard you with quite so many emails.

Just came across this thread which reminded me to send another ticket to Fatcheese. Still waiting on my claim from 7th November. That's just shy of 6 months!

I would imagine that Fatcheese is a difficult business model to operate. They're giving all the affiliate revenue back to their customers, with the exception of ad space they sell. Given that such a website would have alot of queries on sales not tracked, monies overdue etc, it would be hard to fund a proper back of house staff.

Good tip. When selecting 'Ireland' from 'Country' drop-down list a link is provided to download a PDF copy of official Department of Foreign Affairs 'Guidelines for Photographers on producing photographs suitable for Irish Passports'. Follow these and you can't go wrong.

What photo size should I choose at the machine while printing that sheet? Thanks.

Standard 6x4.

I have been using epassportphoto.com for years now! And if you are annoyed with how they are only allowing just 4 photos and the other half is blank / ad - get yourself a simple free tool like Paint.NET (link), and copy and past the four photos into the other half - then you have 8 passport photos for the cost of printing one 6x4 (which is usually around 50c if you go to tesco etc).
