It really makes me uneasy seeing how many people are convinced Newcastle are going to do City on Sunday, both on here and on Facebook I am seeing far more optimism for Newcastle v City than I did City vs United. I honestly reckon City will go out and win 1-3.

Its clinging onto hope. Its all we have now.

I still think City will do em

You can't compare Jones to O'Shea until he has done this.

hes about 3 miles offside there and the look of disbelief hes gotten away with it
Do you need someone to explain the offside rule to you mate?

The fact that you think O Sheas goal was offside, its no wonder you've been ''watchin reerees makin up new rules for united'', cause you don't understand the rules.

At this moment in time Krul is a better Keeper than De Gea, Im sure in the long term De Gea will eventually be better but Krul has made Zero mistakes all season ,in fact he's been the best keeper in the league making saves he's had no right to

What a bizzare thing to say. Just because you didnt see it doesnt mean it didnt happen.

Krul is absolutely terrible with the ball at his feet and his distribution is awful, two of the best parts of De Gea's game. I have seen Tim Krul make basic goalkeeping mistakes, as has a friend who is a Newcastle season ticket holder who would be one of his biggest fans, he acknowledges there are many areas to improve. While he is a great keeper and is having a great season, I personally would hold De Gea in higher standing in terms of potential to grow, to suggest that Krul would "walk into the United team" is utter bollox.

I hit a shot similar to this a few weeks ago in a match. I snatched at it and sliced it way off. Turned around to see the other team taking a throw in. Made me feel so depressed.

At least I wasn't being paid £60,000 a week to do it though :P.

    ABU Till I die

What the **** is this ****e?

ABU till I die? Seriously, it's without a doubt the most idiotic, bitter phrase I have ever come across. Most pathetic thing I have read on here ever. Do you even support a team or just enjoy watching lose(you wouldn't have seen much of it in recent years :) )?

I pity people like you tbh, because you deserve to be pitied rather than the other option, which is to be laughed at.

Did you cry when we won 19?

    Especially for you.

It really makes me cringe when some muppets don't have any mates to wind up, so they take to the internet where they get joy in anonymously pissing off people they don't know. It doesn't get lower.

In other news, 4 different rags are running with the story that "Sir Alex Ferguson will launch a £100million summer spending bonanza in a bid to prevent Manchester United being replaced by neighbours City as the dominant force in the Premier League." It is going to be a looooooooong summer chaps.

It will be interesting to see if City have to sell much before they can spend much if they are restricted by the financial fair play rules. Might it even be the case that United can outspend them?
A Club Financial Control Panel has been set up to monitor and ensure that clubs adhere to the financial fair play requirements - and in May 2010, the UEFA Executive Committee approved the UEFA Club Licensing and Fair Play Regulations - which have the support of all stakeholders in European football. Financial fair play measures will be implemented over a three-year period, with the break-even assessment covering the financial years ending 2012 and 2013 assessed during 2013/14, and starting with the assessment by the Club Financial Control Panel of all transfer and employee payables in the summer of 2011.

United might be looking to offload some players such as Berba to keep wages in line and add allow them to add some new players, especially in midfield. City will need to offload players such as Ade at big losses to keep wages in line and to fund new signings. City do already have a great team together, but if United can hold on to the title this season the financial fair play rules may allow them to keep City in their very near shadow!
