    Once again Waterford City totally ignored when it comes to recognition by a National organisation.Plenty of Hotels,WIT etc capable of hosting conferences and events in Waterford yet they could not include Waterford in the list of City sections..This happens a lot!!

    From what I remember, this caused quite a stir when it launched, particularly because it's operated by a government agency.

    They came out and said that a lack of a 5-star hotel was one of the main reasons for excluding Waterford. They had other reasons as well but that's the one that springs to mind.

    and no leisure centre more to the point. Have been to much worse 5 star hotels though than the castle which is four star.
