Anyone own or driven one? Looks like a nice mpv/4x4 cross. Any opinions?
Yes, we had a beautiful 03 one a few years ago. Big mistake, selling it. Should have kept it.
Anyhoo, apart from normal service/wear and tear items, check that the EGR has been upgraded to the new type. The early one can fail, with catastrophic results. It's a straightforward thing to do, though, so don't let that out you off.
Comfy, but quite low geared, it's not thst light on juice, and isn't a car for tearing down the motorway in.
Rear door opening is a bit odd: hinged on one side.

Indeed, not my old one.
General mixture of national route and R roads, 25 mile commute, and got about 35mpg IIRC. That's driving at about 55-60 mph.
They only came in 2.0 petrol an 1.9 diesel, ours was diesel. Tax is 640 IIRC.
Took it off road into green fields, and it's grand, but its no Landcruiser ! I never had snow to test it on, but I suspect it would be good.
We loved the comfort and driving position. Compared to, say a RAV4 at the time, the RAV was a noisy, nasty tin can.Ode To The Motorist
