are rifle silencer legal in ireland to own.i want to get onebut dont know to get one

You must tick the Silencer box on the application when applying for the rifle.

You must include with the application a letter stating "a valid reason" for wanting the moderator.
It is then up to the super weather or not he grants you it, When you get your licence there will be an S on it.

If he doesnt grant you permission to use a silencer and you go ahead and get one you could be in a spot of bother if caught.
