You never answered my question. would you take term time if you could?

    I would,

    But I'm only temporary :)

Good job you don't work in the public sector then, all temp staff are laid off when their contracts are up

I know what sweeping generalisation means and you know well and good you have been using them left, right and centre in this thread. I am not jumping to any conclusion, didn't you say earlier on, that some civil service office workers were "overpaid pen pushers"...

    FYP:D

Yes I did say the some civil service office workers were "overpaid pen pushers"...

    Do you not agree?

I don't understand what silly joke you are trying to make. If you are implying that I could not bet my annual wage because I am temporary, I am on a 3 year contract, so it would be possible.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they were "pen pushers" or "paper clip tray fillers".

You do have a crusade against AGS.

I don't get why you are slating the PS if you are one yourself. Teachers get the most perks.

How are they unearned? They all make pension contributions based on their salary and pay a pension levy. They have to make 2 (could be 3, I don't know, I don't earn enough to make contributions, just pay the levy) pension contributions, at least one for their own pension and one into a fund that would go to their spouse or child in the event of their death.

unearned is the large amount the employer puts in....in the private sector...it has to be earned......

There are PLENTY of companies in the private sector where the employers contribute to pensions. That is the whole point of pension schemes in the work place.

What about people who never work a day in their life but are entitled to a state pension when they reach retirement age? Now they certainly never earned their pension.
