    Depends on the time of year. Winter time = 12, Summer = 11. Or vice-versa.

    That's the clicking sound. As has already been alluded to in this thread, the buzzing is a breaker that either needs adjusting or replacing.

    The summer time is 12-8.

    And my box (teehee) makes a buzzing noise too also.so hence forth it is normal

    Ok, another answer here related to real life :)

    ItsThatManAgain nailed it on the cross :) That noise is something to do with your storage heaters(whether you use them or not)

    OP, I know how frustrating and how many sleepness nights you have as I went thru the same crap as well before I moved out, use ear plugs!!

    For your landlord to fix it, there needs to be an adjustment to your outside meter and as the inner meter is locked most of the time, an electrician needs to be called.

    By the way, did you move into my old apartment?..LOL
