Every night at quarter to 12 the electricity box above my front door starts making a loud buzzing sound, sometimes it's not too loud but other times it's so loud I have to sleep on the couch and I can still hear it.
It's not a noise in my head because it is exactly the same time every night.

    Why is this happening?

    It upsets me. :(

    Its gonna blow.

Only a matter of time at this stage.

It might catch fire. You should probably pour water over it and see if that helps.

Don't really do that. If you die I'll get banned.

Do you have storage heaters in the house by any chance? And yes, as some stated jokingly, but being serious, a breaker needs to be changed.

Thanks, there's 3 storage heaters here but they're not on and it happens every night at the same time.

What do you have in the house that runs on a timer? Oil heating burner?

Could it be switching from daytime to nighttime leccy?

Best get it checked out OP.
Sounds like a loose connection or arcing.
    Potential fire risk.

As someone said, possibly something on timer switching itself on. If you hear the sound of a breaker sizzling at the board, it's possibly something that requires a considerable amount of electricity, i.e. storage heaters. They usually come on at night as it's cheaper for them to draw heat with the cheaper rates at night.

Nothing I think, there's an electric heater connected to the wall that has never been used and the hot water for taps has a timer thing but that's only on when there's washing up to do, it's not an immersion. :)

Im a bit of an expert in this field and they have you hooked up to the English grid what with that cable under the sea. Your fuse board will have to be replaced because its going to affect the new saor view box.
