In order to do the LLB after a BA do you have to have taken Legal Science as one of your subjects in the BA?

No, anyone with a degree can do the LLB.
Although how long it takes depends on what your degree is in.
A degree in Legal Science means an LLB is one year long as you've already done so much law. Same for corporate law.
A BA in Public and Social Policy or B.Commerce means an LLB is 2 years long.

If you have a BA without any law subjects at all then the LLB is 3 years long.
