Looking for a really compact wifi radio - suitable to pack in an aircabin bag - and got around to thinking of getting a 'droid (just for this). Any suggestions? Whats the story with speaker quality on the low end 'droids? Is the idea crazy ?

    Something like this?
Or maybe even pick up a cheap android to stream the stuff, not sure how much the cheapest one is. Sound quality should be comparable depending of course if you're using headphones or hooking up to a high end system

For over a year I've been using the ZTE San Francisco as an internet radio.

I buy 500 MBs per month for €5.

I use the Tunein radio APP and listen to Public radio in the US,RTE 1,Newstalk, LBC and others. .

This combo has worked great for me.:)

Last week I bought my son the Galaxy Mini for €99 IMHO its better than the ZTE, might update the ZTE.

Please let us know what you do.

If sound quality and speaker volume is a concern i'd recommend getting the X Mini II Speaker.

For its size its simply amazing. Dirt cheap and it the size of a Kiwi Fruit.
