    Cant understand this...

Flew from Stockholm Arlanda to Oslo this
Morning. Got a pair of sissors taken off me at security. That I understand

My second flight Oslo to bodo they confiscated a screwdriver.

Now my last leg today bodo to leknes and they took my zippo lighter.

Should security checks not be standardised across all airports? I accept I shouldn't be permitted to take any of these items but why not
Take them all at first security check?

There is probably a post on a Nordic aviation forum:- "What is it with Irish passengers"?

Never mind that, why weren't you training with Cross on the weekend?

Should the thread title not be "what is it with people still bringing obviously banned items in cabin baggage despite public information/general knowledge/ample signage?".

I can understand it less as you actually know your not allowed bring them.

But I guess to answer your question, yes, all items should have been taken at the first check.

iirc somebody said on here that a blade or pointy object more than 6cm or something isnt allowed. I could be wrong so correct me on that.
Dont know why the took the lighter off you though.

Yes it's a strange one. It's hard to remember to remove everything from bags when you travel a lot. Have to spend more time checking my
    Carry on in future.

The security dude was pretty cool though. He kept my lighter And he's working today so I get it back

Surely if you travel a lot you have a method for packing your carry on, or even have one always packed ready to go?

Nice that you will get your lighter back.

I didn't know zippos were not allowed. I used to be a very frequent flier and only ever encountered a problem with one in heathrow. A cow of a searcher tried to take one off me. I went back to pretend to check on my hand luggage but came back a few minutes later and went to a different searcher who had no problem with it.
