What setting to simmer on?

My hob has 9 settings per plate. I'm trying to simmer and have it down to level 2, which means its bubbling but only a small bit. Should I reduce the setting to level one to have no bubbling or is bubbling ok when simmering? Thanks!

Simmering should have the odd bubble, so I'd say you're good.
