Lol, there's two teams in this game ya know! :)

There's been quite a few occasions in recent history where Barca have tried their little hearts out but failed to break down a well organised, compact team.

Ya and quite a lot of times where their little hearts walked all over the likes of Man Utd.

What has that got to do with being cynical?

You can say only one team were cynical last week hence I say only one team scored last week. It's not that difficult to understand my friend

Utd were not a well organised, compact team in those games.

Ah I love the hatred of a genuine tactic of playing defensively against a superior footballing team to get a result and take a lead into a second leg of a UCL semi final.

You show me any team that wouldnt do it week in week out and take a 1-0.

I hope we go through, just to knockout the almighty devine footballing gods that are Barcelona, because we all know theres no other way to play football then basing your play on the Barcelona system. Sure every other way is blasphemy.

    :pac:

Chelsea won't play like Utd did though, will they? So your point is moot.

But you knew that anyway. :)

So you are agreeing with me that Chelsea were the cynical ones last week otherwise i really dont know what youre getting at.

And lots and lots of games where Puyol being slow and Barcelona were vulnerable from set-pieces only to win handsomely..

This will be agonisingly close, unfortunately. Barcelona need to wget at them early and often...see how Chelsea respond if plan A goes out of the window..

Good man, down with those sinners.

Anyways should be a cracker of a match and i am really worried about Barca's form the past few weeks. Their defense is gone to sh1t and they lack creativity. Iniesta needs to up his game and Sanchez must get plenty of the ball to create space for Messi. Can see Chelsea scoring one so Barca will need to play well or bye bye.

I've not stated once that Chelsea were not cynical last week.
What I have called you up on is the fact that just because Chelsea did it last week doesn't mean they will be the only ones to do it tomorrow night as you clearly claimed.

But thinking back I do remember Busquets feigning injury last week.
So both teams were cynical to some degree but Chelsea and Drogba in particular were the biggest culprits.

I'm also on record here for stating why shouldn't Drogba be cynical seeing as he isn't being punished for it.
A team will do all it can and rightfully so to win a game

Barca really do lack a centre forward to create space for messi. If sachez can occupy the CB's Messi may just get the space he needs.

Personally i can see us losing 3-1 but if we go out fighting ill be happy.

I dont agree with cheating. If any Barca player cheats tomorrow night, then they deserve to be castigated.

Maybe I have a terrible memory (I do in general) but did Drogba actually dive last week?

    Is this a serious post?

I see a 1-1 with Chelsea scoring first. Barca have a horrible record against Chelsea.

Not really, I don't see Barca being terrible at finishing as jambag luck. But I'm guessing that opinion mightn't be shared by everybody.

90 mins, 73% possession and 25 shots is bad finishing and good defending

If its jambag luck, ask one of the Chelsea team to buy me a lottery ticket!

I think what he means is he remembers Drogba exaggerating injury but not actually going down when there was no contact.

Yes I disagree that Drogba threw himself to the ground. He stayed there for an excessively long time. Its bad but not as bad as diving to win a free kick or get somebody booked.

edit: I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure the majority of the time he didn't dive.

Only five pages in and Real and United have already been dragged into the match thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chelsea get to the final. The only thing nailed on,in my eyes,is a Drogba red card.

Oh what a better place football would be if players got booked for making meals of challenges but it sadly doesn't happen enough and therefore it is in no way "nailed on" Drogba will get sent off unless he engages in an act of violent conduct.

His tackle on Busquets deserved at least a yellow, possibly red. Plenty of dives where he could have picked another yellow up or at least got another for time wasting.
