Sharp CD-PC651 - Not seeing CDs

    Hi,
I just took a Sharp CD-PC651 out of storage in the shed and its not seeing any of the CDs that are put into it. It was working at Christmas before it went into the shed and in other respects its fine, powers up, flashes it lights, plays tapes, ejects the CD tray and rotates the 3 CD changer, but it just wont recognise that there is a disc in...

I ws told to leave it on for a while in case there is some condensation built up that could be interfering witht he CD operation so I'm doing that, but otherwise I dont know what else I can try.

Is it worth getting a CD cleaner? Any suggestions? I repair computers, LCDs, printers etc. so I'm willing to open it up but dont have experience of working on stereos so dont really know what to look for.

Heres an example of the stereo:

    Thanks for your reply!

I have tried standard audio CDs in it, no CD-Rs or anything like that. There was a CD left in it that was playing at Christmas but it wont even see that. I've had it in the house for 3 days now but it still wont see a CD.

Just trying to decide if its worth: ordering replacement parts/ leaving it in for repair / buying a new stereo.

    Hard to know
