Corsa C kickdown problem?

Just started to driving an '02 1.2 Corsa C auto. Once I push the accelerator beyond 3/4 travel the revs will redline and the car will slow. It does this in both manual and auto mode. If I lift off the throttle the gear will reengage. Otherwise the car drives fine, no engine light or flashing F on the dash etc.

    Any ideas?

There are several faults current on your box though. I can't remember what they were but I doubt they'd be helping.

Yeah I know, any idea what it could be and an estimate of price?

If you tell me what trouble codes you have I can do my best to help you solve it. Otherwise you need to get it plugged in, as without doing that Im only guessing.

Ooops my fault, it works fine, it just revs higher than I thought was normal.

Yup, goes fine. If there's an electronics problem with something it'll usually go away as soon as I get involved.
