Battery on way out?

In the last week everytime I start my car I notice that the digital clock has reset itself to midday. Also my interior reading lights don't work. The car starts usually without a problem but sometimes it might take an extra turn or two.

Wondering if this is a sign the battery is on the way out or maybe its just a fuse or two that needs replacing? Its a 00 Avensis 1.6.

I would have thought the battery would have to be completely dead for the clock to go. But you can start it so that must mean there's still a considerable amount of charge in it.

I'd be looking at the power connector feeding into the clock or the clock unit itself.

That wouldn't explain that why the interior lights aren't working though. Unless its a coincidence that two things went at the same time. I may just have to get it checked out.

Could be coming from the same wiring loom?

Ok that would make sense. My electrical knowledge of cars wouldn't be that great. Would this be a relatively simple/inexpensive fix?
