Basically that it didn't cross the line and that he blocked it. He said that he was delighted that it went Chelsea's way but over the course of a season these things even themselves out.

Probably just the angle/photoshop but it might be closer than I thought.

It wasnt a goal, but spuds had plenty of time to get an equaliser and they only turned up after the first goal.
The much better team won on the day :D

Completely misleading angle, it 100% wasn't over the line, farcical decision of the type that is at this stage ruining the game.

But I agree, Chelsea were much the stronger side. Bale did his reputation no good in this game, he was totally anonymous.

Messi or Ronaldo he certainly aint. He's not worth 20 million based on a performance like that.

Yea it was supposed to be unstoppable, but bad planning , no plan b and a man at the helm with an exaggerated opinion of his greatness led to it quickly going underwater. Anyway, enough about Spurs season, what time is Titanic on at ?

I think Bosingwa,Ramires and Luiz did a fiarly good job in dealing with Bales main attribute, his pace.

Those 3 lads dealt better with him then Ivanovic, Sturridge and Cahill could, if they had started.

Ramires also done a good job in tracking Assou-Ekouto and stopping him offering Bale any support, another job Sturridge couldnt have done.

I though Modric was fairly ineffective along with Van Der Vaart and Adebayor was to isolated at times.

Spurs didnt show up to this game and we did, the 5-1 those flatter us but I think we did deserve to win overall.

JT played well, Drogab was immense, Mata was influtental and Mikel was solid, Cahill came on and settled very quickly too.

I still believe whoever won this game would go on and win the FA Cup and that opinion isnt changing, no matter who Liverpool have on goal.

Drogba owns Wembley and if Liverpool play like they did in the first 45 minutes agaisnt Everton then we'll be out sight by half time.

Yes and yet he celebrates, basically cheating, like most players would do, no honesty or intergrity in football its a shame.
As for these evening themselves out, maybe we(Liverpool) will get a ghost goal against them (CL 2005) in the final, I wouldn't be happy about it but at least Terry will have nothing to complain about.

If it makes fans everywhere feel any better we can re-write the history books and say it finsihed 4-1?

How does that feel? Will it please people?

It wont effect the outcome but there ya go, the Semi Final officially finished 4-1 to Chelsea.

    ;)

A Minute's silence before games will always encourage a small selection of idiots to shout/heckle/whistle.

Personally I dont think any minute's silence should be held for any event, the minutes round of applause in remeberance works better.

Now, for Liverpool of course this is different and of course for Utd and the Munich disaster but a minute's silence will always enocurgae clowns to voice up and TBF the majority of the crowd towards the end gets on the backs of those acting up.

That was far from a small selection as you call it.
Heard from someone there it was quite a lot.
And to those good Chelsea fans there, why didn't they make their feelings known

Its hardly the majority either though.

TBF people are looking for a non story.

I'll even change my wording, a selection of fans choose not to respect the minutes silence for Hillsborough and that Italian lad or a selection of fans were unhappy with the FA not moving a tricky fixture so close to a UCL semi final?

I'm not defending them either as I think they should have just kept quiet and not give the Liverpool fans and players something to rally themselevs for the Final with but a selection of fans really did make it easier for the club to get themselves fired up for the Final.

Yes, that's why they should respect the minutes silence.

I agree with ya, but that alone isnt going to win Liverpool the Cup ;)

In fairness, unless a clubis directly invovled in the tragedy or incident I think their should either be a minutes applause or just scrap the minutes silence all together, this isnt just a reaction thanks to yesterdays incident but my long standing view on the situation.

If we play United on the anniversary of the Munich disaster then hold a minutes silence by all means but if we're playing Villa or whoever both teams should have a round of applause or scrap it.

My final opinion on it, a 6pm K/O with drunken fans playing your close London rivals will lead to idiots ruining a very touchy and raw subject for Liverpool fans the world over.

In the same respect, the Club has come out and blasted the small minded people and this subject should be put to bed as it has no relevance on the out come of this game.

Small minority my hole. 3 or 4 lone voices my hole. That was a fully fledged chant.

With Chelsea fans history, I can't really say that I'm surprised.

The club has apologised, what more would you like to see happen?

I'd like to see any of those engaging in the dreadful disrespecting of the 96 that died excommunicated from Chelsea FC and football in general.

Lifetime bans for the hundreds that disgraced the clubs name.

And I agree with you, its a matter for the FA as much as it for Chelsea FC to seek out those fans, but I feel it wont happen.

IMO the FA didnt help matters by insisting on a late K/O because it clashed with Sky's coverage of the United game, this game would have made more sense to have been played earlier, 12 K/O.

The fact that it wont be dealt with is because the FA will have played a part it and having a late K/O, they wont find against themselves.

The late kickoff is a bull excuse IMO.
