Best pub in Dublin to watch this?

Spurs are the better team but have been going through a rough patch the last while but hopefully they pull out the win here. Although as a Liverpool fan I would rather play Chelsea in the final if we beat Everton.

    Spurs 2-1.

Chelsea have been shafted with an evening KO on the Sunday when they face Barca on the Weds, thats got to be in Spurs favour. Spurs to eek past Chelsea who will have one eye on Weds.

2-0 Chelsea. There will be rotations but we'll get the job done before playing Barca

    2-1 Chelsea in normal time

Friend of mine won free flights, tickets and such for this. In a box an all.

    He doesn't even like soccer.

Fancy this to be a very boring game, with Tottenham winning.

More of Spurs' Shameful history, come on Chelski!

I hope I'm wrong but I can see this going to extra time exactly what Chelsea don't need, I think 2-2, 3-2 Chelsea after extra time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,885 ✭✭✭Optimalprimerib

Chelsea have that bit more experience in knockout competitions, I think that could stand for them.

    Hope I'm wrong though.

Fancy Chelsea here...Drogba loves these games

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,624 ✭✭✭double GG

Massive game for both teams. Harry needs this after completely bottling the season and a win in this will likely be a massive confidence boost ahead of their remaining PL games in the race for fourth.

I see Spurs playing a very open game with Bale and Lennon on either wing.

Chelsea will really miss Ivanovic against Bale but I can see Boswinga handling Bale no problem.

Chelsea to win 2-1, Lampard and Drogba to score for Chelsea with VDV grabbing spurs goal.

I fancy a red card here too.

    IS this on ITV?

A lot of Liverpool fans are hoping to play Chelsea in the final, my own preference would be spurs but there is f all between both teams.

I can see this being a cracker of a game though, hoping for a 7 goal thriller:D

Bloody thread gave me a mini heart attack, I was here thinking it was Sunday already! I'll say 2-2 in 90mins. After that I haven't a Kalou!

    Not sure if they are!

The good news with pool reaching the final, chelsea have a good chnace of qualifying for the europas, as pool have already qualified

The CB area key for spurs, King Daws or Willy G. I dunno who i want to play along side Kaboul, King is worry for me. He's been poor. COYS!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,269 ✭✭✭Tubbs4

Hoping a chelsea good win of 3 nil other higher to get in the mood for Barcelona.
I hope Danny gets a game a scores and an assist to show he's a team player

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 191 ✭✭wellboys

Kaboul is out, Daws is out, King hasn't been up to scratch the last couple of games. Don't be surprised if starting CB's are Nelsen and Gallas. The squad is very thin at the minute, even BENTLEY could be named on the bench!

    I still think we'll win after 90mins, 1-0 Spurs.

JESUS I didn even realise. Now im properly worried and as for BENTley if he gets on and Gio dos santos doesnt get a chance ahead of him il go mental.

Joke the way the match is on at 6 to accomodate TV audiences.

I'm not very confident about this game, I think Chelsea should win it handy enough, 2-0. Kaboul is a massive loss, and not only does it affect the defence, it will also affect the midf. Arry now has to decide whether to play both Parker & Sandro to pretect the defence, but then that will have a negative impact on our attacking play, as either vdV or Lennon will have to make way.
    I expect to something like this;

    Friedal
    Walker --- King --- Gallas --- BAE
    Lennon --- Parker --- Modric --- Bale
    vdV
    Adebayor

I'd prefer to see Sandro than Parker but I don't think Harry will drop Parker. If Sandro does play then either vdV or Lennon will drop to the bench.

I don't know anybody who is confident about this match, that includes both spurs and Chelsea fans. Shows just how terrible both clubs are playing.

Here's hoping the reverse jinx kicks in: 2-1 Spurs, maybe after ET.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,778 ✭✭✭Big Pussy Bonpensiero

    Starting XI:

    Cudicini
    Walker --- Gallas --- King --- BAE
    Lennon --- Parker --- Modric --- Bale
    vdV
    Adebayor

Thought Arry would play Friedal but no real surprises otherwise.

Team v Spurs: Cech; Bos, D Luiz, JT (c), Cole; Mik, Lamps; Ram, Mata, Kal; Drog. - subs: Turn, Cahill, Ess, Meir, Mal, Sturr, Torres. #CFC

Surprised at Friedel on the bench. Has Cudicini played all through the rest of the competition or something?

It was a minute silence for Hillsborough hence why ITV showed Anfield from today's service.

A minority were making noise during the 60 seconds, the booing was the rest of the crowd showing what they thought of the idiots at the end.
