    It's worth around €80-100.

Where'd you source the price? Is that for World red box? Or the All Stars/World?

Umm... I don't know quite how to say this but, if that Mario All Stars 'with' Super mario World is what I think it is, it's worth an absolute bloody FORTUNE.

Requires more research but I would advise you keeping that and your red box Mario World in a very safe place for now. Not trying to get your hopes up, need to research it more, but that All Stars version with the Mario World is (I think) SUPER RARE.

Can anyone else confirm so I'm not just getting the poor lads hopes up?

They have that two-in-one cart for sale in the Rage all the time. It's nothing special.

Na, the standalone box version might be fairly uncommon but the loose carts came with a snes bundle as seen here so they're common enough.

Great Haul, id be interested to see the NES stuff!!

I have that allstars with world cart, they are in no way rare on their own like mentioned they come with some snes consoles, the boxed one is probably a different story.

Yup. That's the uncommon one alright. :)

What condition is that red box Mario World in? Is the tear strip ok? No box crushing etc?

All Stars/world. On eBay. Seen a few in the last few months. Uncommon more than rare. That price was from an auction ended on the 11th of April, from a seller that tends to get the higher end price for his auctions.
That sealed box is worth a bit.
As enternow said and I concur 'I'm uber jealous'.
Was a bit too slow with the listing on adverts. JPSherdian got in with asking so I didn't bother posting and just but it on watch. If I had of said next in line I would of been in before Martin there. Gutted!

If it makes you feel any better, next in lines don't make a difference on adverts anymore :( :pac: oh well.. congrats on the great haul Martin:D

Well when I bid I didn't have a clue what I was getting to be honest. He PM'd me asking if I could collect soon as his wife was pregnant and I said yeah sure why not, if you send me a few pictures.
He sent me four pictures and all I could see that was decent was SMW2, until I spotted the side of Megaman x2 out of the corner of my eye, and I knew that it was worth a bit. He said there probably wasn't as many games as he originally thought and I started to doubt it but thought I might as well for Megaman and whatever else comes is a bonus.
My housemate is on study leave and turned out he lives 10 minutes away so he tipped down to get them. Unfortunately my housemate knows nothing about games and has no time for them and I was sh1tting it that he could bring home a pile of crap.
There's about 40 NES games, half in boxes, few of them sealed with the black dot stickers, and a fair few loose carts. I've not much experience with NES so I've not a clue if anything is actually worth anything out of that lot. There's also a few Mega CD games, few Megadrive games, a GBA, an original Gameboy, and a few random wires.

There's another 5 or 6 copies of Shadowgate and Swords and Serpents boxed. I think they're new but not sealed. There's a few NES duplicates I left out too, the GB and the GBA.

Ciderdude is probably raging seeing that super probotector

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,400 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

Castlevania, megamans, gold zelda are the stand outs, but unboxed not worth big money, the rest are not really rare i dont think, nice collection again though. what a haul.

are the NES games US Games?

He wouldn't be the only one.

Can we ban martineatsluckycharmsandhorseshoesandsleepswithahundredrabbitfeet? I'm sure he's broke a rule somehow and I can't look at his posts anymore.

Seems one or two are US but the majority are UK PAL.

I didn't cop until you said it, the difference isn't quite as drastic as the SNES difference!

That is a wonderful collection, congratulations.
In particular nice one on Samba De Amigo for the DC, there are some 3rd party maraca sets out there, I got mine online somewhere, essential for it tbh.
Also Super Probotector, I want but I am not prone to jealousy, so no probs!
Pop'n Twinbee is a great find, love that game, as well as Yoshis Island.
And as for the Nes games, Kirby is just so brilliant, I know most rate SMB3 as the best but, for my money, Kirbys Adventure is fantastic and a real tribute to the teams squeezing the Nes for every gramme of power.

What Flintstones game is that you have there? It's not the ridiculously rare and ultra expensive even as a loose cart one is it?

    Na, it's a common.

You're killing me here Pyong, you keep raising my expectations...!

If its Surprise At Dinosaur Peak, that's the second rarest NES game behind Stadium Events. It's worth a bloody fortune.

If its not, it's worth about the price of a pint. :)

You got an open red box Mario World too? That's another few bob for that version, assuming its complete. Fair play sir, I tip my bonnet to thee.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 5,400 Mod ✭✭✭✭Optimus Prime

i have that flintstones game, rescue of dino, its common enough,

i thought a few of those games looked US alright.

Don't mind Pyongy, he's not very good at picking out rare games.
He thinks Darius Alpha is rare but sure I have 3 copies of it here so it cant be that rare then :D:D:D

Nice mega haul of games by the way.

But it's just rare!! It's a really crap game to play.
I assume you've at least had a go of it on an emulator?

Nope. I don't want to ruin the surprise. :o

I play Darius R a lot though. I have that game at least! Good 'ole King Fossil. :)

I foresee bitter disappointment in your future Pyongy.
My advice, play it on an emulator and know thy enemy.

Nah. I'll bide my time. One day... :)

I'd like to get more of the Zuntata Darius concert DVD box sets though, pricey as they are. I'll wait for a lotto win for Alpha though, let a lone three copies! :P
