    Big fan of them, myself. Rarely met a duff one, but then again, I try not to shatter the illusion by actually going to America. The ones who travel, live abroad, open themselves to new cultures and experiences, tend to be the best of any group of people. I suspect spending some time in Nebraska or somewhere like that might dent my adoration somewhat.

    just recently back from a long trip in the states.

    I find that one can be really nice, friendly and helpful, then you have the other extreme of one being rude,loud and serious attitude.

    They are extremely friendly if your in their shop buying from them :p

    Also I found in every restaurant I went into they really look after you and give a proper pleasant service.

    I love Americans tho, you'll always get good crack out of one :) and love the accent

    Have been married to one for nearly 10 years & its been great.

    Almost all Americans I have met have been very friendly and welcoming.

    My wife is less impressed by Irish people in general though :o

    Often very confident, will approach and talk to you, are polite and friendly. But then also loud and prone to saying crass and naive comments.

    I also find with Americans you'll often know their life story within about 10 minutes of meeting them. I sat opposite an American girl on a 2 hour train journey and by the end of it I knew: all of her Grandparents names, how many weddings she'd been to, her whole job history, how many countries she'd been to whereas inadvertently I don't think I told her much more than my name and where I'm from :D.

    Now before some clever cunt goes that's just a generalisation, of course it is, it's just been my experiences with them.

    Been seeing on for thee years now. American although looks like the A typical Iranian which is odd. We headed to tunisia last year and freaked out the locals when they thought the lanky pale Irish guy was stealin their wimminz .... then they thought she was stealin their oil.

    The one's visiting here are very hard to get them into bed, but I believe that has changed somewhat recently.

    I generally like them, in general there is a positiveness about them, they really do quote the Dr Phil and Oprah credo, self esteem, self respect and other advice those modern evangelists spit out.

    Of course they are not all the same, like every generalisation.

    Annoying, the lot of them.
    Immature and insecure. If they snog/shag someone on a first date or have a one night stand, they spend the next 6 months in a state of paranoid terror wondering if the world will think they're a slut.
    The only decent ones are the ones who've done a bit of travelling and even they are guarded because they seem to spend the entire conversation apologising for their dumb countryfolk.

    Do you believe that all Irish/Italian/Danish/Australian/French women are the same too?
