Samsung 32"LCD approx 5 years old. sound but no picture

Hi, hopefully this is posted in the right place. I have a samsung 32"Lcd tv, it's about 5 years old. and there in the middle of the news the picture just went, the sound is perfect, it is not the sky box as I have tried with the dvd player as well. Is it a gonner or has it happened someone else and they got it fixed? :mad:

A lot of samsung models from around 5 or so years ago had issues with some under-rated components.
Most of them were fixable by replacing some capacitors , soldering experience required of course , but in most cases fixable for less than €50.

To know if yours is fixable , and to get instructions on how to fix it , get the model number and type it into google like this ,

"Samsung xxxxxxxxx ( model number ) sound but no picture"
