Was reading on the EA UT forums some time ago, that people preferred Buffon over Cesar. But Stekelenburg is in short, the Hart of Seria A. All I can say is that he's been absolutely brilliant for me. You can get him fairly cheap as well when compared to Buffon and Cesar too.

I bought Cambiasso last night for the extra pace he brings into midfield over Pirlo. Not sure if the overall rating will go up with you, but Cambiasso is also an 85.

If you can find Hernanes in CM, I'd consider him too. Have him as a AM myself and have seen the odd CDM version of him. Absolute monster of a player despite lack of pace (69 pace I think?)

Surprised you don't have Giovinco, presume you can get him in CF form for that formation.

CB's you can obviously improve on but you know that yourself. I have Dias, Ogbanna and Astori myself and all are great though.

Well that sucks once you win the Silver tournament once you get 2000 coins. Wonder if you win it the second time does it go back to 4000 coins or stay at 2000. =/

cambiasso is cdm (85 overall) only a few k (about 2 i think) check futhead. i'm on the fon so cant check.

Ya, I know he is a CM. My formatting was misleading! If I can get him for 2k I would be very pleased! strengthen up the midfield.

I could do with another LB and RB for rotation. Can't afford huge names though

Antonini isn't bad for a budget rotation LB

Just went online there. First couple of Cambiasso's are quite dear tbh mate. 4000 and 500(5100 buy now). Must have got real lucky last night. Mine cost 2200

Also worth considering Guarin (cheaper option) and De Rossi for CM of course.

As for Giovinco, he's quite simply brilliant for me. If you have 2100, I suggest quickly getting online asap.

Just bought Cassano CM for 1K. Not sure why as I don't need an extra midfielder. Probably sell him on later today. Reckon I could make a decent profit on him.

Got to the final of the new silver tournament last night.

Had a freeze on the squad screen in the 1st round, so I was happy to just reset, it happened again in the second round, but he quit fairly quick, and again in the final.

I decided to sit the final out, so went on the PC for a while.
Came back after 45mins and just as I was sitting with controller in hand up pops ''You have lost connection to UT/EA Servers''.....

Back to the first round......

The games out nearly a year and they can't put something into their systems to prevent this?!.

On another note, did anyone else think the 4 clubs tournament ended early?
I was sure I was in the middle of one, and then saw last night it expired, wasn't there not another 7 days on that timer?!.

Went for Stekelenburg. Seems a good choice.

With the bad LB situation in Serie A I just decided to put Chiellini at LB. His chemistry goes down to 5 but I have been playing well so far with him there.

Silva is an absolute beast at CB. He doesn't seem to have any weaknesses for a CB.

I think you have it mixed up with the other tournament which shoud have around 7 days left as you said. It's the one which requires 3 players from Premier League and 3 players from La Liga in your starting XI.

He's by far the most popular left back for Serie A. I made a killing on him and IF Nagatomo when he moved to QPR. Bought more than 20 of him on my other account when his transfer was confirmed, still have a few left if you want one. I'll sell one to you at the price I paid 2 months ago, which is a lot cheaper than what he's worth now

Whats wrong with Tawio? Seems like a great LB for me.

I'm still unsure who to play with Silva, lucio or Chiellini. Lucio is so good but Chiellini is faster.

Played with Lucio + Chiellini for a very long time and found it extremely good. But I now have Silva so I just rotate them

I have had a Liga BBVA team since I started in Feb. I'm not getting board of it but a lot of you seem to have 2+ squads. I was thinking of starting with a new league and would have limited funds because I will also be improving my BBVA team. Do you think that I should make another squad, if so what league?

I know there was that one as well, but I didn't notice the timer for the 4 clubs one being in its final day yesterday, I gave 7 days as a random example(to represent anything over a day or two)

Just checked there and it's got 6 days 5 hours left.

The other one definitely did not finish early as it started on the 25th/26th of March and ended last night, so it was open for around 12 days.

Fair enough, I remember when they had the last update, one tournament ended early and people weren't happy, so thought that might be something that happens a bit.
I'll have to keep an eye on that, I've missed the deadline for a good few where I was 1/2 games of finishing it.

Selling my Spanish silvers and bronzes except for Tello and Montoya, kinda sad about it. But really, the lack of pace, height and power has really halted my progress in the Silver Cups. Consistently make it to the semi finals only to be overrun by overly counter dependent (boy do I despise them! :mad:) opposition with English, Brazilian or French teams.

Bought Rossi CAM for 1800, again, another unnecessary purchase but oh well. Now have Jovetic, Giovinco and Rossi for CAM. That means I'll have to offload either Hernanes (who I'm a massive fan of IRL) or Hamsik. Both 84 overall. Who would people here offload? Before it's said, I do want to keep one of them. IRL opinion is edging it towards the Brazilian. Statistically Hamsik is better but for me, he's been rather disappointing whenever he has played.

Had hamsik for a while myself. While he was good on paper he never really stood out for me. Saying that, for CAM I'd get rid of Hernanes.

Just bought Lavezzi for 4200 . Gotta admit, I was hysterically laughing briefly when the timer ran out, couldn't believe it :pac: Admittedly I spent an extra 350 on a 4-5-1 card as well for him but even still.... highway robbery is what just happened moments ago

Average going price for Lavezzi on PS3 is around 10K.

Half tempted to make a move for Lucio now when the spare change.
