To start have a look at This thread on Motorhomefacts and see this quote from one of the posters "the top hat handbrake on the maxi chassis needs to be adjusted by turning an invisible ratchet within the drum through a very small hole. This isn't easy and many lazy (or inexperienced) mechanics simply adjust them by tightening the cable"

Now have a look at The AL-KO Chassis Handbook and for all you testers go to page 21 and notice the twin rolling road setup for the twin axle chassis.

that's what i meant by saying previously that it worked best when adjusted correctly , not just tightening the cable. and the adjuster isn't at all invisible , all you need do is remove a wheelstud to see it.

Hi lads, keep up the good work. I'm glad to see my enquiry generated some response's. Do you think the RSA would except a "test cert from another EU State where they know how to test an Al-Ko " Park Brake ".

its a sad thing to say but im going to avoid the "alko chassis" (im hunting for the next mh at minute)
if they are having that much trouble trying to test them, could do without the headache's:rolleyes:
