Any chance of moving in with your bf for a while, muffin?

    Not a chance.

I wouldn't have the money for rent or bills.

I get €95 per week and just about get by on that.

Dinner was nice, but a bit meh, but think that's down to me mood more than anything else.

I made mushroom sauce, white rice and wrapped streaky bacon around chicken fillets.

Sick of my mother and her snide comments. I was just washing dishes and she moaned at me for banging a plate off the sink, when I explained it was an accident she moaned again and told me not to do it again. One of these days I will turn on her. I am utterly fed up of her and her behaviour.

    throw the plate at her

ah no move out if you can

Ack. More tears today over James' current dislike of me.

Told his Dad today that he "no like Mama" and that he's "shy of Mama".

Wish I knew when the phase is going to end. He made me laugh almost immediately by asking if I was sad because I had no biscuits. :pac:

Yeah, that's the worst. He doesn't mean it really, he just prefers his Dad, who in fairness is a soft touch. Then Mike makes it worse by giving out to him for saying those things which only makes it worse. Poor child. He's fine with me when Daddy's not around.

Downton Abbey. I've only seen the first episode of Titanic, it was okay but nothing on Downton. It's only a four-part series as well.
That ITV Titanic series is soooo bad! There's a great thread on it over on D.S and they're just ripping it to shreads! There's hardly any feeling that they are on a ship, lack of sound effects etc.. and only about 10 extras. :D

I couldn't afford to move out unless I got a job or saved up, which is impossible at the moment.

I need either a lottery win or a job and right now, I'd take a job. Something to do each day, something to fill the day etc. Being unemployed sucks.

Being unemployed is fun for about the first 4 days, it's all "I don't have to be up early, I can watch daytime tv, I love this!", then it dawns on you that you're broke and everyone is at work so you've nobody to play with, it sucks every day after that.

I watched the first series after it had ended on tv and loved it, started the books after that, its more about the politics and all the shenanigans around the crown than the fantasy stuff, which isnt very prominent in the first series anyway. its absolutely filthy as well lol only HBO would ever have filmed it like it is.

Despite being a massive technophobe I've just managed to successfully have a 4-way Skype video call with members of the course I'm doing. We were editing joint documents in Google Docs at the same time so I have well and truly been overwhelmed by the wonders of modern technology!

I didn't realise it was going to be a video call though, otherwise wouldn't have started it in PJs on my bed with a large glass of wine beside me...I kept pretending I was looking for something in order to lean out of shot and down some wine (I was v nervous about presenting what I'd been working on and don't know the people very well, in my defense. Didn't think it would seem like I was taking things seriously if I was quaffing wine by the bucket)!

In other smiley-ness, my manager in work (who I worship) arrived this morning with a present for me- a pack of the pens he knows I like to use but can never find anywhere! I was so touched that he thought of me over the weekend, as my workplace is not a particularly sociable place and people don't tend to make an effort to make friends.

I feel your pain- I just finished a run of them this morning at 7.30 and have swapped shifts as a favour to a workmate, so have a one-off night tomorrow as well...it's hardly worth getting into a normal routine in between! Do you work in a hospital too?

No I work in a hostel for homeless women, so night shifts tend to be very quiet or nuts.. never in between! I don't mind night shifts but I'm just so tired tonight!

I've just read something online (a blog) and I honestly couldn't see straight for a minute I was so angry. I was just browsing wordpress, I was not prepared for this!

Have to take a few minutes to calm down before I comment on it (I cannot let it lie) or it will just be rage-filled incoherent ramblings.

what was it? the other night someone I know on facebook liked a picture of a woman who had one of her breasts removed from cancer but who was now pregnant, nice story, brave lady but the comments were full of idiots thanking god and saying god is awesome, and satan gave her cancer but god took it away  lets not thank the doctors, lets thank the invisible sky man.

Meh, people are entitled to their faith as much as their lack of it. Don't see why it pisses people off so much.

Yeah and they're all so grouchy even though they're on the Titanic and it's supposed to be such a big adventure! Nobody seems happy to be on board. (Obviously before the whole iceberg thing, after that it's understandable that they wouldn't be delighted with everything.)

I'm behind on it though, keep having too much work to do on Sunday nights so I watched it online on Saturday and have this week's one still to watch...I did like that they put in second class passengers though, the movie was all first class or third, it's nice to see some of the people in between. What's DS though?

have all the faith you want as long as its outside politics and law, where unfortunately it has far too much bearing in these days. its nearly impossible for someone to get elected in the US if they arent a praise Jebus christian.

Sure, but someone praising God on a random Facebook pic isn't doing anyone any harm. The politics thing is strange though, I wonder would we ever have an openly atheist Taoiseach?

*yawn* Think it's time for bed. Night night loungers!

The boyfriend is reading the books at the moment, he's onto book 5. I'm told there's a lot of information in them and a lot of characters to know, but they're brilliant when you get going.
