I also have all the consoles, except the vita of course, but don't seem to play any of them that much any more. I tend to go away a lot at the weekends, or on camping trips so I would imagine it would get a lot of play time then.

Lack of games is the one thing making me not want to get it, Uncharted looks great, but not a lot of replay value. Very much like the look of LBP Vita, but its not coming out until June.

keep in mind that battery life is not great on it. so make sure to have a little generator :D.
Well if you dont see any games you like on it, then hold back on it. There are still good few games i want for my vita even now, but i am keeping my cash for gtx 680 and MK vita :D. got 55eu in psn wallet ready to go!
i havent touched any consoles in freaking months and months! if not misses using ps3 for netflix, it would be under the inch of dust! PS vita is different though, a lot of fun, when you just want to relax in bed or couch!

Gonna go ahead with the vita, found one cheap on adverts.

In other news, anyone else having trouble after the latest AMD update? Downloaded it through Steam last night and I'm getting really really terrible fps since. I'm talking 10FPS on Minecraft, thats how bad. It will be fine for 10mins, gives the usual 100+ fps then whoosh, sudden drop to 10, and staggers around that and won't go back up.

I don't really want to get a subwoofer because of the limited space around my computer :o

I'd go with something like these instead.

I've used a similar 2.0 Altec Lansing set in the past. I still keep them around because they still sound fantastic (though mine were a bit more expensive than these, I've found the company in general produces great speakers, especially at the low and mid ranges.)

I have the 2.1 version of those, they are pretty decent for the price.

Does this MOBO have USB3.0 headers? I don't think so but would like to verify.

Also can this card reader be mounted interally or do i have to go for this?

I'm just doing some price comparisons (parents arent easy to convince :P ) but does anyone know if you can get dabs to build it for you? I know you can get HWVS to do it but like I said, price comparisons.

Also what are the tax etc. from HWVS like?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,979 ✭✭✭Tea_Bag

    I would think it does?

    " 2 x SuperSpeed USB + 1 x FireWire + 4 x Hi-Speed USB via headers"

either way, I can say for a fact that the extreme4 does have a USB3 header.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Hi-speed is USB 2.0, Super Speed is 3.0.

yea I know. I should have quoted the whole lot.

    " 5 x SuperSpeed USB + 1 x FireWire + 3 x Hi-Speed USB + (2 x SuperSpeed USB + 1 x FireWire + 4 x Hi-Speed USB via headers)"

    Yeah the Pro3 Gen3 does have USB3 headers. Its the Extreme3 Gen3 that doesn't.

I don't think you can, sorry. Hardwareversand probably are cheaper though anyway so its not that big of a loss :D

EDIT: What do you mean? The Germans do 19% VAT over there but everything's included in the price so taxes don't really come into it. Unless you're ordering as a business, that is.

Ok, reading the T&C had me sorta confused because google doesnt translate the best so most of it is jibberish.

So basically its the price of everything in the basket + 18.99 for shipping?

Nice one, that's good news, thanks guys. The description is a bit confusing and no amount of eye squinting at the board let me find them!

    Exactly.
They use DHL for shipping so Mr. Postman had a nice box of treats for me this morning.
    Shipped 4 days ago.

Cant wait for my care package ;)
Have to come up with an arguement for my dad that its not a waste of thime and money and that I need it for my grand entry into the coding and PC gaming world :o
Still should have it by the end of this month or maybe next month at the latest.

Gaming is worth like $60,000,000,000 a year. Indie games are becoming more and more popular, such a hobby has propelled many people into a steaming pile of money.

    Try that! :D

Lads, don't judge me.... I am weak and powerless. I tried to resist, but I could not.

I just ordered gtx 680 from scan... Should be here Thursday. I am a shamed of myself :(.

If anyone looking for gtx 570 then ask me. I will put it up on adverts later on today.

I think I might have found my new favourite case.

    http://www.corsair.com/obsidian-series-550d-mid-tower-quiet-case.html

I think the R3 still looks a bit nicer, but the 550D is just so damn functional, on top of looking nice, and being really quiet.

    just watched tom? :D

its cool case, but if you do want it to be cooler, then it really defeats the purpose of being silent case.

i dont think that my 500R will go away any time soon though.
