I'll come back home and check it too. It's going to be nvidia.

Did you try disabling hardware acceleration for Flash?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Me-thinks it's an AMD thing maybe; videos are fine for me in full-screen, normal, and expanded.

Have problems with youtube on two computers, one AMD one NVidia. Figured it might be firefox but I'm too lazy to dl another browser to test.

I wonder if its related to the buffering issue with UPC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,181 ✭✭✭Serephucus

Running FF 11.0, UPC 20Mb, NVIDIA card with 285.xx drivers.

Sorry for so late. I am having no problems with nvidia card. Full screen or normal.

installed after burner and for the first time used OSD. its class! :D

so i got BF3 1080p with AAx1 ( turned off i guess :D ) motion blur off and the rest maxed out and i got 55FPS constantly and sometimes dipping in to 45ish, but very rarely. played on Gulf of omen 64.
my Vram was constantly maxed out at 1250mb, so i guess even at 1080p you want a 2gb card!
good thing is though gpu newer went over 65 degrees with OC.

is it me or expansion maps are way more stressful on PC, then vanilla ones?

sorry afterburner, msi afterburner. a GPU overclocking tool, but you can use it to record and use for all monitoring of your GPU. temperatures, gpu load, vram load, voltages, fps, everything.

Considering OCing my X4 955 BE. I have a Scythe Mugen III already attached with the included Slipstream fan, and a Nexus Real Silent 120mm on the case behind it.

I have a second Nexus fan in a drawer somewhere. Would it be a good idea to swap the Slipstream with the two Nexus fans in a push-pull scenario?

Lads does your pen drive have to be USB3.0 to achieve the higher speeds a USB3.0 port can offer?

I just ran an ATTO benchmark on a USB2.0 stick plugged in to a USB2.0 and then a 3.0 port.

The USB3.0 does seems to give slightly higher speeds but seems more erratic too.

You won't really notice any difference I suppose, but it's worth getting USB3.0 so that you will have it when 3.0 devices become more popular and affordable.

I attached to two benchmark results.

    Cool thanks Fluffy!

    Next question;

Will this CPU cooler fit into this case?

What are they refering to in the description as fan height at 26.5cm? The case is 19cm wide ...

You've misread this, it says 26.5mm
I suppose it refers to the thickness of the fan.
    Heatsink Specifications:
    Dimension: Length 140mm x Width 102mm x Height 162mm

Merc Alpha maximum CPU cooler height = 165mm
The macho is 162mm, so it will fit but it will be a very tight squeeze :pac:

Cool. No hope of getting a fan in on the side so. I was think 2 intake fans on front, 1 intake on side and then 2 exhaust rear and roof. Overkill? Or would I be ok with 2 intake 1 exhaust. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I need more intake than exhaust to create positive pressure to help keep dust out?

well lads, just a wil guess, when do you think we will see a new standart for resolution like 1080p? you think it will stay for long?

ps4 rumors go about 4000p, which quit bull**** in my eyes.

I have a x4 965 with a Prolimatech Megahalem cooler with two (cant think of the fans at the moment) in push pull config. Its overclocked to 3.9ghz and temps are fine. Although I have had them on push/pull from day one so I cant tell you the difference it would make.

Pics are actually in the post just above the one you linked :)

    PS vita?
i bought one myself. i got all consoles and 2 gaming PCs and 2 items only used most: PS vita and PC :D.

it depends what you need it for? i personally love it to play at home, while misses watchers her shiet on telly. its like a bedroom toy :D. Check if there are any games that interest you first, as people do a mistake by buying such things and realise there is nothing that they want to lay on it, so it collects dust.
lumines and rayman origins are very good, plus there is a huge library of psp games, so if you misses out on something, then its a great chance to catch up ;).
i cant wait for may 4 as Mortal kombat is coming out. it will be a copy of console version, but with all DLCs and extra challange tower content!

I also have all the consoles, except the vita of course, but don't seem to play any of them that much any more. I tend to go away a lot at the weekends, or on camping trips so I would imagine it would get a lot of play time then.

Lack of games is the one thing making me not want to get it, Uncharted looks great, but not a lot of replay value. Very much like the look of LBP Vita, but its not coming out until June.
