I tend to agree that Kennedy seems to be the best option.

This is the only thing said about interest from Singapore:

Shazad Bakhsh is the owner of Phantom Scotland.

Not sure he has the cash needed.

Does it not worry you that Kennedy said he didn't really want to buy Rangers? He is has he says himself a last resort, hardly sounds like he'd have the wallet open for investment if Rangers was sold to him.

I'm talking more about the reasoning behind it.

I don't really trust some of the bids that have come in, Kennedy at least gives the impression he means well.

Fantastic victory today to stop that lot winning the title at Ibrox. Hopefully we can get a buyer and look to move forward and get normalisation again. Hopefully we can get out of administration before next season and look to challenge again.

    Thought Aluko was fantastic.

    Aluko was absolutely outstanding.

And what a picture this is:

that's a great picture, something about the lighing makes it look like it was taken in the 80s.

Interesting(well I thought so) article focusing on media handling of Rangers administration and tax case.

DUFC can go **** itself, maybe they can use the double ticket money they asked a few years ago for a game that was postponed.

I'm all behind the RFFF on this.

Thomspson screwed the abandoned cup tie a couple of years ago, and tbh i'm disapointed that we havnt boycotted them since.

Bear in mind, he would do the exact same to Celtic fans if given the opportunity.

no doubt they'd do it to us too.

but deciding to hop up on the high horse after ye owe them money stinks. If ye had an active boycott (which I wouldn't disagree with) then it could be justified.

You have to remember that the RFFF is not an official club fund - it's fans money, and the fans decide where it's going.

Bain has dropped his case against Rangers.
    PRESS STATEMENT BY MARTIN BAIN
FORMER CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB

Everyone close to Rangers Football Club knows that I am, and always have been, totally committed to the Club and that remains my position. As Chief Executive and part of the Independent Board, our job was to assess and highlight to all stakeholders if we believed there was uncertainty over the future financial viability of the Club under new ownership. Unfortunately, the Independent Board had no legal power to block the transaction and Sir David Murray made it plain that he wanted to sell.

I personally strongly recommended on more than one occasion that Craig Whyte should not be allowed to buy the Club, based on investigations into the transparency of his background and the responses to the questions asked of him as part of the process. Unfortunately that forceful representation was not accepted and when he took over I was suspended and my contract ripped up. With what has subsequently transpired, it is quite obvious why he disposed of me in the manner he did. I was further vilified in the press and continue to be subjected to endless rumours and attacks.

Events have moved on and the damage inflicted on Rangers Football Club is shocking. I had no option but to pursue a claim based on Craig Whyte’s actions; the litigation was a response to his actions and not those of Rangers Football Club. I firmly believed it was important to make sure he would have to explain everything he did in a Court of Law. Because of the legal process it has not been possible or appropriate to make public comment, which has been extremely hard given the flow of misinformation and falsehoods both myself and the Club had been subjected to.

In the two years since the Board restructure in August 2009 and prior to Craig Whyte forcing my removal from the Club, turnover had increased, operating costs reduced with net debt more than halved from £31.1m at 30th June 2009 to £14.1m at the 30th June 2011, while the Club had won three consecutive League titles in difficult circumstances. This debt reduction was beyond the targets set by the Bank.

In light of the Club’s current position I instructed my lawyers to advise the Administrators that I am willing to discontinue the legal action and, subject to recovering the costs associated as a result of this action, I will give over to the Administrators the remainder of the money that was arrested as part of my case in an effort to help the Club.

I always have done, and will continue to do, everything I can to help the Club in these difficult times.

    Martin Bain

a strange one given that a judge had felt there was enough reason to ringfence the potential money to be awarded.

i wonder did his case fall apart or what happened?

No there not they just let people no what was going on. The RFFF is made up of ordinary fans. I was involved on Sunday with the whole donation for flags thing so I glad they let everyone know what was happening with the money

they kind of are, Rangers fans kept going to Dundee Utd didn't they??

Now Rangers owe them money and all of a sudden dundee utd dont deserve Rangers business.

it doesn't matter anyway the RFFF can do what they see fit with that money all they had to say was they felt the money was needed elsewhere.

Beeb reporting that the Kennedy bid has been rejected.

Looking more and more like Murray's consortium are in pole position.
Not sure how i feel about that.

And Whyte refuses to work with Paul Murray...

But so far it's just 'understanding':

I understand Brian Kennedy's bid for #Rangers has been rejected. More to follow on

"Liquidation would not be my preferred option as a supporter and indeed as the manager of the club," he said.

"Sitting here as a businessman, it might be the way ahead, but as a supporter, with a love of the club, it wouldn't be the preferred option.

"I can totally understand the business angle and it probably would suit a lot of business-minded people."

Strange for McCoist to be saying that unless one of the bidders have raised it as a option when they get control.

    Apparently it's Club9's preference.
