closing AIB account from abroad

Hey, I want to close my AIB account before the new fees come in, it's currently only holding 60c. Is it possible to call their 24hr number and close an account, cancel debit cards etc, or do I need to put it in writing?

Ringing AIB might work.

I have closed a bank account over the phone in the past.

Either way AIB will advise you by phone as to what you need to do.
