Looks like a nice and clean Polo with a 1.4 too, So not too slow.

NCT and Tax, admittedly they run out in April, but still, only asking €1,000

You can be assured that will be gone very quickly!

Depends on what you look for in a yoke.

They're kinda ironically cool now, but they're very basic, the engines not that powerful and they're not too practical unless you regularly just carry big things that you don't mind getting wet.

103k miles, tested at 97k miles, NCT 'till October, was only up a few hours, I know the Carisma is much maligned around these parts but it seems a very decent bus.

Way are you doing with the mg?

Seem to be, very few of them come up for sale and i've often seen threads from people looking for them.

Best of Luck - looks a good buy. Price is good too considering recent TB and Water Pump works are done.

So the temptation to purchase another Celica is on hold for the time being?

Apologies, it's not for me :)
My sister needed a car fairly lively (her Ka died today, she cooked it), I didn't actually buy it :)
Only got €50 off the asking price but I don't think €600 was out of the way.

Absolutely. Can't see that hanging around for more than a day or two. Especially for that sort of money.

They have the perfect size for a bail of hay :)

Yep. Quite rare. And a bit of an icon. A Mk1 VW Caddy obviously would be the ultimative god-father to that Skoda.

There's a guy that works beside me that has a black one lowered. Looks quite good.

If I was buying it I would spend a bit on it to sort the bodywork though. The TDI was so far ahead of everything in 1992, and you can tell people about Procon Ten!

I get a feeling the seller is decent.

I have a car with procon ten :) But yes, that's a fairly decent bargain there. Even a few days tax included.

The 92 upgrade was truly a lovely car. Always wanted one. My father runs an old 91 1.6TD and, despite the lump, its still a lovely car to drive. beautiful steering, absolutely flawless 21 years later. The engine's alright, it was never anything to write home about.

I used to borrow a work colleagues 2.0E 92 Audi 80 and that was a lovely car even in '99.

  • Registered Users Posts: 23,694 ✭✭✭✭L-M

Those 1.6TD's are very tuneable! Smokey but they can be fairly quick with little work.

My own car. nice to drive. Not a thing wrong with it. Only selling it cause I've bought a van. Open to reasonable offers.

That looks in great nick inside.

edit: actually, it's Pat Dunne, (formerly?) Junkyard on this forum that's selling it. Nice guy, and only 2 mins down the road from me if someone up the country wants a quick (non-mechanic!) once over done.

Indeed. My father bought one new in '91. Only a 1.6 petrol, but that car was truly on a par with the entry level models from BMW and Mercedes (apart from the front wheel driving)

Sadly that hasn't been the case for Audis since then...

Pininfarina styled 406 SE Coupé, Leather interior, slight blow in the exhaust and a scuffed back bumper and NCT'd until July, tax appears to be out. 300 Euro! In Cork (See how easy it is to add locations, so we don't click the ads and see Leitrim, or Uganda??? :D)

Seems the photo in the ad isn't the actual car, but still, seems an honest description. Could be worth a punt to someone.
