android 4 on sim free Desire HD

Does anyone know if android 4 will be available through the update software option? Do I have to wait for Vodafone to pushbit out? I have an unbranded sim free Desire HD which I got from Expansys, Vodafone PAYG.

Not 100% about an OTA(Over the Air) update but as soon as HTC release it you'll be able to do it using your PC.

I updated to ics from 3.2. dunno why. few changes but nothing major
