Movers in Melbourne - Any Recommendations?

    Any recommendations for good moving companies in Melbourne? Need to move contents of 1 bed apartment, so a small truck and 1-2 helpers is all that is required.

    Go on gumtree, you'll get plenty of cheaper freelance van movers, prob get one for about $30/40 an hour.

    Otherwise rent a van yourself for the day would be the cheapest

    What area jack? Plus how far is the move be advised a lot of movers charge from the time they leave their depot.

    Moving from Brunswick to either North Melbourne or North Fitzroy (still deciding between 2 places we've applied for) so only a few kms down the road either way.

    Cheers, was originally planning on doing it myself alright but looking at mover quotes made me think it'd be worth paying little extra to get it done quick and easy and have any damages covered by insurance etc.

    Depends on what could be damaged if you can move yourself its so much cheaper. Oz social law states you have to feed and water everyone who gives you a hand. Depends if you want to give movers the cash or your local hertz and Dan Murphys.
