have a hp pavillion dv9000 and had my vodafone mobile broadband dongle working fine on it. then the laptop blew its graphic chip (common problem with these apparently) last week and i left it in to be repaired. all they did was replace the graphic chip and said everything else was fine. but since i got it back i can't get my mobile broadband to launch anymore. i've uninstalled and reinstalled the software from the dongle a few times without any luck. the installations seem to go fine. i'm running windows 7. when i try to launch the vodafone dashboard, it just says it's not working...has anyone any ideas what i should look for to try to fix these? any help much appreciated!

I presume your dongle is plug and play?
Make sure that you unistalled all Voda soft on your lappy.
Go to Vodafone.ie to search for the newest software for the dongle.
Install the software first, insert the dongle when prompted.

Report back if it's not working.

got it working again. i had forgotten my windows had done an automatic update just before my graphics chip burnt out. i restored the system to the point in time before the update and reinstalled the dongle again and it finally worked this time. something must have gotten messed up in the registry along the way. am just glad to be back online again!
