    You clearly haven't read the bible then. All those galaxies where put there so we'd have something pretty to look at if we had to get up during the night. It will probably all be phased out now that we have TV and the internet.

    Remember as well that each of those galaxies can contain hundreds of billions of stars... we can't even get our heads around the thought of one galaxy, never mind billions...

    I don't know about anyone else, but the more insignificant humans are in the grand scale of the things, the more I like it!

    I rather not think about it, my mind does somersaults when i try to comprehend the vastness of the universe, billions of galaxies each with billions of stars like our sun with planets each orbiting them, you're talking trillions of planets, just can't imagine how much life they're must be out there. how can any sane person think we're alone in the universe :rolleyes:
